Even 12 months later we are reminded how these media frenzies are just that. I am happy to say that we have all managed to live another year without being consumed by flesh-eating viruses, killed by typhoid, small pox, the bird flu, killer bees, the next ice age or even overrun with pesticide resistant lice.
